    Hi Fernando

When you connect to Xero from Xeroom it takes you to your Xero app and asks you which Xero organisation you wish to connect to – pls see the installation instructions. This is part of the setup which you do for both sites. So connect to Xero demo for testing and once complete then change the connection to Xero live.

    Thanks

    Hi Alex

Sorry for the delay in replying. I think in that case it is better to send them manually in batches once or twice a day. We do have on our enhancement list to do soon sending order on Processing which we will be doing in Q2 of 2020.

    Thanks

    Hi Dean

So what payment methods are working fine? Do you have any errors showing in the xeroom debug screen? Can you send me a screenshot of a test order and the error message given?

    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi Dean

We haven’t tested Xeroom with that plugin and from what you are saying it looks like it is not compatible. From what I can tell below this plugin also appears to be duplicating some of the Xeroom functionality in accessing Xero which is probably the cause of the conflict and error.

    Thanks

    INVOICE GATEWAY FOR WOOCOMMERCE

This plugin adds a basic invoice payment option for your customers on the checkout.

It allows the order to go through into Processing status and from there you can generate a separate invoice in your accounting system and have your customer pay outside of WooCommerce.

We haven’t tested it with that plugin so cannot say whether it will work ok or not.

Hi – you are using an old version of Xeroom. Please update to the latest which is 2.0.8 and run throught the checklist on the Getting Started page.

    Hi Dom

That is a good idea – I will speak with my developers about it – the downside is that any contacts for a company mapped that way would NOT be searchable in Xero – would that be acceptable?

    Thanks

    Hi Shaun

Thanks for your email – please see my answers below:

Q We need to process orders with a discount/payment terms of 30 days. I don’t think Xeroom can do that per se, is it better to process trade invoices in Xero and have Xeroom sync products?
    A. Correct we don’t provide any settings to handle that. So you can either create trade invoices in Xero and synch as you suggest or use Xeroom to create the invoices from Woo but manually edit the due date in Xero in the invoices.

Q.So would the correct settings be something like Sync Xero to Woo (so Woo remains master?), Automated= Hourly and set batch size to 500? Have I got the right settings, is this going to achieve what we need it to and have you encountered issues with a store so large?
    A. Those are correct but whilst we did a lot of testing on this synch we have not tested it with such a large no of products which is almost certain to have issues. Bear in mind that Xero has strict API call limits (in terms of both volume and rate) to access it’s data which if breached leads to errors. We have coded it to chunk the data and retry but that still left occassional errors so we also had to create a throttle for it to work properly. I suggest doing testing on a cloned copy to see if it is possible.
Please PM with the messages from debug and I can advise if they can easily be resolved.

Hi Dom – I have copied a Q & A for your question from another customer below which should hopefully explain things for you.
    Thanks
    Pete

    Q. When I try to import some new order from already existing customer in xero, that other plugin create new customer each time when importing order. This is plain wrong, as a customer with given email already exist in xero. So the question is: does your plugin checks if some customer already exist in xero when importing order, and does it attach new order from existing customer to this customer? Creating duplicate customers with same emails and ID each time when you importing an order is not helpful at all.
    A. Xeroom will check and use the existing customer in Xero but will update the contact details with those in the order.

    Q. How do you check for existing customer in Xero, by ID or by their email?
    A. By customer name.

    Q. But how it would work for “John Smith” for example? There could be few customers with same names but different IDs and emails.
    A. Xero will only allow one person with the same name so Xeroom would simply update that with the latest customer to order.

Q.Are you sure? This sounds wrong to me.
A.It isn’t logical but we had to do it as you cannot search on the Primary Person’s name in Xero so most people put it in the Contact name field. Then you have to ask where to put the company name so the next best place is in the first line of the address. We map the individual’s name if B2C to this field and the company name to the first line of the address. http://prntscr.com/rjg8b0

    Q. And if some customer has outdated email address in woocommerce, but correct email in Xero, I suppose email in Xero would be overwritten, correct?
    A. Yes but only when they place the next order in Woo

    Q. Is it possible to disable contact update in Xero when importing orders?
    A. No

To prevent this you could consider some workaround eg by adding a code or salutation to the original name in Xero. However it is best to consider to have just one master since if you have multiple data for the same name how do you know and manage which one is the true one?

Sometimes for some reason the Private App button doesn’t show in Xero http://prntscr.com/r3jkjm  but if you clear your cache and cookies it should do so.  I just checked and had to log in twice to Xero as the first time it didn’t show as the url must be this https://developer.xero.com/myapps?privateAppCreation=true and not https://developer.xero.com/myapps/ which doesn’t show it any more.

    Hi

The settings for when the payments and invoices are sent to Xero are at the bottom http://prntscr.com/qq2mlp. Yes we plan to add this feature along with partial refunds hopefully this year.

    Hi Shaun

We have not seen such behaviour before. Xeroom will always check to see if an invoice has been posted already to avoid duplicates being created. Have you checked the debug screen for messages? You will need to try and narrow down what the cause is. Does it happen only with stripe or other payment methods? Please send me screenshots of your xeroom settings, your debug screen, the woo order notes for the order that is in error, the Xero invoices created and a list of the woo related plugins that you are using to see if I can make some suggestions.

    Thanks

    Hi

Xeroom cannot handle part payments so it is best to set it to either not send the payments until the order is completed or else do it manually within Xero.

    Hi Mark

This info is required for the OAuth 2.0. Xero is in the process of deprecating OAuth 1a and replacing it with OAuth 2.0. They no longer allow public apps to be created with 1a but private ones still can be by going to the following url.

Log in to your Xero account at: http://login.xero.com and go to the Developer center at:  https://developer.xero.com/myapps?privateAppCreation=true.  Note that the previous url to access this  http://api.xero.com  no longer works.

We will be developing Xeroom to use OAuth 2.0 in Q1 of 2020.

    Thanks

Please can you check that all the SKU codes on the products match up exactly between Woo and Xero for the ones that were not synched. Also what if any messages show in the Xeroom debug page?

    Hi Bader

It would appear so. You will need to decide which plugin is more important to you and disable the other one in order for it to work.

    Thanks
    Pete
